Reading Assignment, Problem Sets & Solutions

Home work will not be graded but similar problems will  show up in the Quiz at the start of each Lab

1. Week 1 (March 30):  Read the first day course handout  and lecture slides carefully.  You will be quizzed on it at start of  Lab0 session.

Read Taylor Error analysis textbook (3rd Ed)  Chapters 1, 2 & 3.  Solve problems 2.3, 2.7, 2.27,  2.29,3.12,  3.32,3.40, 3.45. 

 Solutions  are here  . But pl. attempt the problems yourself first and think about them before looking at the solutions.  Lab Reports will always  involve these methods. 

2. Week 2 (APR 6): Read Chapter 4 of Error analysis textbook.  Solve problems 4.2, 4,8, 4.18, 4.26, 4.30.

3. Week 3: Read Chapters 5 & 7 from Taylor book.  Solve  problems  5.23, 5.25, 5.39, 5.41, & 7.2, 7.4 , 7.5
