OLDer ANNOUNCEMENTS
June 3: Some final exam related announcements (pl. dont email 2BL asking for clarifications):
Final exam is closed "everything" for all students. All items, including phones, watches, and glasses , that can connect to internet must be turned off and stowed away. Three pages of equations, constants and tables will be provided to you with the final exam. In addition you may bring 1 full page (duplex) of your own notes in whatever font you wish.
The Final exam will last 2 hours for non-OSD students. It will likely have 4 free-response and 6 multiple-choice questions that will probe your understanding of the labs and error analysis topic covered in the course. Most questions require some element of computation that you should already have experienced during the course. This is what the cover page of the final exam sheets will roughly look like. pl. review this in advance to avoid confusion at exam time.
You will need a calculator, any kind that does not connect to Internet. You will also need to bring sheets of paper for rough calculations etc. Pen and pencil for sure. Bring your Academic honesty too, its paramount.
June 3: Regarding Lab report regrades: TA's first priority is to grade your Lab reports ASAP. Regrades are a lesser priority but will be addressed before final exam, depending on the load from you. Regrade requests must be made within 7 days since graded report's posting time.
We are observing way too many frivolous regrade requests that waste TAs' time. TAs are students, like you, and stressed for time, just like you. Pl. be respectful of their time. Repeated frivolous requests may lead to up to 15 point penalty.
June 1: During Exam week, no TA OH, but the Head TA and the Prof will hold their OH by Zoom.
May 23: The full class attendance is posted here, sorted by the last 5 digits of each students' PID. If you believe there was an error, provide adequate proof so it can be fairly rectified.
May 13: Please follow these steps to submit regrade requests on Gradescope: LinkMay 13: Head TA has moved tomorrow's office hours from 3-4 PM to Zoom at this link: Kyle OH link. This will only apply to tomorrow's office hours unless otherwise stated.
May 8: The 2BL course is largely unaffected by the Canvas situation since all info you need is on the website. As far as viewing your graded Lab1 report and Lab2 report submission, you should login directly to Gradescope.com using your UCSD credentials. You do not need to go thru the Canvas at all. Pl. submit your lab reports on time.
In Week 7, we will be doing Lab 3 as planned. Lab 2 report is due before the start of your Lab session.
April 29: Another reminder that your Lab report should be written only by you. In its writing, you may not collaborate with others. Use only the data taken by you and your benchmates. Any and all use of AI tools in writing of Lab reports is a violation of academic Integrity pledge.
April 27: There is a possibility for Lab1 makeup but only this week. Capacity is limited to 4 students/ Lab session. But there are 16 Lab sessions from Tue 8AM to Friday 8pm. Look at your schedule and sign up on this Google sheet indicating which section you are going to come this week. Reports are due after 1 week of performing experiment.
Urgent message from TAs who are grading your reports: Attention students: Please be sure to assign your pages correctly in Gradescope. Choose the page(s) that correspond to each question. Failure to do so will result in a 10 point penalty (20% of your combined quiz+report grade). Correct assignment makes grading so much easier for TAs --> happy TAs = better grades!
April 18: Due to drops, the lab benches will be reorganized. Table 7 students will be moved to Tables 1-6 in the same section. An updated Lab seating map will be posted by Monday.

April 15: Please be sure that *each lab member* writes data on their own paper/notebook, and that each page you use has your name on it. The TA will sign each page you have, and they will form part of your lab report that you won't get credit for without.
